i liked. it was president obama. four years and a half years ago people back in the fall of 2006 would say things like, he's never going get elected there's no way america would elect a prime african-american you can't get elected with the name barack obama. it's actually didn't matter. i didn't know anybody in chicago. i didn't know anybody around the candidate. so it didn't look like anything was going to be happening. december 26, december 26, 2006 my wife and i were shopping day after christmas we were shopping in a borns and noble just up the road in california. my phone goes off. this is right out of west wing. it's like, my tornado watch. it's somebody calling to find out if i'm interesting in working with the barack obama campaign. and so, of course, i was. i was quickly connected with a guy named steve held brand who became the deputy campaign manager. he was assessing staff. i thought i was apply forking the job for national campaign manager. it's voter exact. i thought i got to put it on the table i'm perfect for the job. i said, steve never indicated back that i was b

obama and this administration is trying to get as many americans as possible dependent on government so the democrats can stay in power in perpetuity. the reason i think that is failing is even those americans, if you break down that 47%, there is a significant chunk of people who paid into social security their entire life. that is very different from being dependent on welfare. that is a critical safety net our society has counted on that we need to insure remain strong for generations to come. even those who are receiving welfare right now, most americans do not want to stay dependent on government. they want to work for the american dream. they want to work to provide for themselves and their families. i think that is why the obama administration's objective is essentially using bread and circuses to make as many people as possible dependent on government, to keep voting democratic, is not succeeding. americans want to stand on their own feet. >> that is the craziest thing i ever heard of my life. you are accusing the president of united states of using a government program to manip

with his wife susie. so do you really believe that people in the obama campaign, the chicago guy that you tweeted about, that they cooked the numbers? >> anderson, last night before these numbers came out, i tweeted, i wonder what the assumptions will be tomorrow. because last month, the assumptions were that participation rate dropped to the lowest level since jimmy connor. that means people quit looking for work so they don't count. there are so many assumptions that one makes coming into these numbers. you pointed out very accurately that they polled 60,000 people out of a work force of 100 million plus to see how many people had work coming in and out. but the numbers that came out today, they were the highest numbers of household employment since june of 1983, the biggest year of the reagan recovery. the plausibility, it just doesn't seem right. maybe the numbers were wrong before, maybe they're wrong now; i don't know. but i'm involved in this economy in a very deep way right now in lots of businesses, and this econy is not growing, i guarantee you, at 5%. >> they say a number of th

that these are a part appeared when i look at the history of this issue it goes back to the election of president obama and the real energy he brought on the campaign trail in 2008 to the question of transparency and the good government we all in addition. from my perspective by about 2010 that energy had dissipated. a lot of efforts have gone toward a lot of things. we were not seeing that dramatic transformation that a lot of us can visualize. it was a lot happening very much. that caused me to do some work that i will describe here that result in some great that i will talk about. grading is a kroll art but sometimes a necessary arts. . i looked at the problem of lagging transparency efforts. a look like maybe the transparency community had communicated well enough to the government side what it was we wanted. i sat down with some technical people. i am a lawyer. i have to go back and learn about how these computers worked. i sat down with some data people to try to interpret in language that many policy-makers to understand what data people need. in the paper that most of you have on the chairs, pu
